The initiatives promote ambitious targets for conserving mangroves as critical nature-based solutions, also developing innovative financional instruments such as the Mangrove Finance Facility (MFF).

A COP30-led initiative to establish a global payment-for-ecosystem-services (PES) mechanism. It aims to provide long-term financial incentives for conserving standing tropical forests. The facility seeks to ensure the permanent protection of tropical forests through sustainable finance.

The Nature Investment Lab is a collaborative initiative designed to advance investments that positively impact nature and biodiversity in Brazil. It aims to scale financing for nature-based solutions by addressing legal obstacles, high costs, and inconsistent impact measurement methods, fostering public-private collaboration to mobilize funds and develop scalable projects.

This initiative, led by the We Mean Business Coalition, urges governments to develop and implement Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) that are not only ambitious but also drive accelerated private sector investment in the net-zero economy. The call emphasizes the need for NDCs to align with the 1.5°C global goal and to be backed by clear targets, policies, and timelines to unlock the full potential of the private sector.
